PS Cafe (Palais)

PS Cafe is one of the few restaurants that consistently lives up to the hype. In fact, I have yet to come across a customer with a bad experience. We had a wonderful experience at the outlet at Dempsey which had a garden-dining feel and therefore we decided to see how the branch at Palais Renaissance might differ. We were pleasantly surprised. Though located inside a mall, the PS Cafe somehow manages to take you back to the 1920s.

DESCRIBED IN ONE WORD

J Tasteful. Yes they have delicious food. But they are tasteful in everything they do: menu, food selection, interior design, music… One of my favorite restaurants in Singapore.

C Consistent – After my experience at PS Cafe Harding (Dempsey), I was happy to discover that the impressive quality of their food, service, and magical ambiance is consistent across restaurants.

FAVORITE DISH

J Morrocan Lamb – Lamb was soft and very tasty. Truffle on the red meat was beautiful.

C Raviolli with ricotta cheese and pine nuts in a tomato & arugula sauce. This was a special on their menu and it was indeed “special.” Usually it’s worth trying these featured items on their menu. Oh, and their Truffle Fries!! It’s still the best truffle fries I’ve tasted in Singapore.

MOST LOVED/UNLOVED

J  I just love the PS Cafe brand. I like their choice of dishes and how their food is presented. I like the interiors, the lush greenery inside, big windows, high ceilings… yes, I like this place.

C The only thing that I “un-love” is that PS Cafe dosen’t take reservations for brunch.

UNIQUE-NESS

J The experience of PS Cafe really stands out. It is retro but also modern, chic, elegant, warm, european, east coast american, lush…

C The 1920’s ambiance.

COMING BACK SOON?

J+C Always. We always want to go back to PS Cafe.
